Indie singer-songwriter Kat Kennedy is back at the brewery on Sunday, September 17th from 3-6 pm.
Kat Kennedy began performing around her home state of Connecticut at the age of 7. Since then she has performed at venues across the country, sparking a love of music and performance that led her to Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was there that she found her current singer/songwriter, pop folk style.
She currently performs around the Boston area, playing her original music and cover songs by artists such as Johnny Cash, Bill Withers, and Vance Joy, along with many others. At Berklee, the young musician was taught by renowned teachers like Livingston Taylor, Kathryn Wright and Jon Aldrich, and guests such as Grammy award nominee Paula Cole, Ernie Isley from the Isley Brothers, and Noam Pikelny from The Punch Brothers.
Kat has performed at the Berklee Performance Center as part of singers’ night, where the top singers at Berklee are chosen to perform, the world renowned Bluebird Cafe, The Irish American Home, Club Passim, The Aqua Turf Club, The Cantab, and The Whitney Center among others. Kat has also performed in a Berklee Songwriters Circle, where a select few were chosen by the Berklee Faculty. The summer of 2014 Kat Kennedy was selected for an internship at Lucky Diamond Music in Nashville, TN, and is currently finishing her degree in Boston and released her debut EP "Perception" in the fall of 2015.
